DESCRIPTION:Bristol Aero Talks is a free lecture series presented by Aerosp
 ace Bristol\, featuring guest speakers and experts sharing fascinating sto
 ries on topics including space\, flight\, engineering\, and WW2 history. T
 his particular talk will be delivered by Paul Shepherd\, a retired RAF nav
 igator\, on Tuesday 13th October at 19:15. Shepherd will discuss his invol
 vement in the 1982 Falkland Islands conflict\, examining the operational a
 nd logistic challenges of deploying a large-scale military force at extrem
 e range with minimal third-party support. The lecture focuses particularly
  on the Vulcan Black Buck sorties\, which represented the longest-range bo
 mbing operations achieved at that time. The talk will be held in the Makin
 g Studio\, located next to the museum's main entrance at Aerospace Bristol
 \, Patchway. Entry is completely free and no booking is required\; attende
 es are asked to arrive at 7:15pm at the main admissions desk.
