ters in London\, with simultaneous online participation available. This pr
estigious two-day hybrid event convenes over 40 leading experts from the g
 lobal flight simulation community\, including regulators\, manufacturers\,
  airlines\, military operators\, training organisations and researchers.\n
The conference programme covers in-depth insights and discussions on criti
cal industry topics: FCS Framework implementation perspectives and challen
ges\, aircraft certification by simulation\, use of simulation in RAF trai
ning of Ukrainian Air Force pilots\, transformative technology\, training
and simulation for uncrewed systems and drones\, training improvements\, a
ccessible flight simulation in RAFAC\, and the IT FLIES 2026 competition.\
nHighlights include the RAeS Edwin A Link Named Lecture 2026\, delivered b
y Group Captain Gordon A Woolley OBE AFC FRAeS RAF (Ret'd) on 'Simulation
and Modelling: An expanding role in a growing aerospace community'.\nWheth
er your involvement spans regulation\, flight operations\, training\, engi
neering or simulation technology\, this conference offers an outstanding o
pportunity to hear from leading practitioners\, discuss the latest develop
ments and network with international colleagues. The event welcomes both R
AeS Members and non-members. Hybrid attendance allows delegates to partici
pate in person at the London venue or online. A limited number of free spo

DESCRIPTION:The RAeS Light Aircraft Design Conference 2026 takes place on F
riday 6 November 2026 at Royal Aeronautical Society Headquarters in London
. This annual conference provides a unique opportunity for the General Avi
ation community to meet and discuss the latest developments in light aircr
aft technology.\nThe programme includes technical briefings covering fast
development of digital twins using AI\, use of models to validate new airc
raft concepts\, human factors in the design of next-generation light aircr
aft\, important lessons learned in 40 years of light touch airworthiness r
egulation\, and the conspicuity debate from the drone industry perspective
.\nAdditionally\, the conference features RAeS Design Competition and Educ
ation sessions\, including presentations of the Light Aircraft Design Comp
etition 2025–2026 winning submissions\, updates on the 2026–2027 compe
tition\, and aerospace design in education projects such as Creating Cranf
ield Flying Club\, The Magpie 3D Printed Human Powered Aircraft\, and Flig
ht Testing the Stratos 716 Single Engine Jet.\nThe RAeS International Ligh
t Aircraft Design Competition 2025/2026\, now in its ninth iteration\, pro
motes innovation in the general aviation aircraft sector and is supported
by the Light Aircraft Association (LAA) and the British Microlight Aircraf
t Association (BMAA). Competition winners will be announced at the confere
nce.\nThis is a hybrid event welcoming both in-person and online delegates
. RAeS Members\, Corporate Partners\, and non-members are welcome to atten
 d. Ten free spots are available for RAeS Student Affiliates and Apprentice
Affiliates on a first-come\, first-served basis. Attendees must be 18 or
older unless accompanied by a legal guardian.

SUMMARY:RAeS Aerodynamics Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:The RAeS Aerodynamics Conference 2026\, titled 'The Shape of Th
ings to Come: The Future of Aerodynamics?'\, explores significant contempo
rary challenges facing aerodynamic discipline and research. Despite powere
d flight being well into its second century\, the aerospace sector continu
es to face challenges in understanding how aircraft interact with air\, wi
th new technologies\, changing industry priorities and sustainability driv
es reshaping both practice and teaching.\nThe conference brings together p
erspectives from academia and industry to examine how advances in technolo
gy\, engineering and education address future aviation demands. Programme
themes include: measurement and modelling of complex flows (turbulent flow
s\, vortices\, boundary layers\, CFD validation and quantum computing oppo
rtunities)\; Certification by Analysis developments and aerodynamics' role
within CbA frameworks\; academic and industrial applications of AI in aer
odynamics research and development\; graduate attributes and evolving skil
l requirements for aerodynamicists\; and aerodynamic design implications o
f alternative and next-generation powertrains including hydrogen\, electri
 c\, hybrid systems\, ultra-high bypass and open-rotor engines.\nThe event
features the RAeS Lanchester Named Lecture on Day 1 evening at RAeS Headqu
arters. This is a hybrid event\, welcoming both in-person and online deleg
ates. RAeS Student Affiliates and Apprentice Affiliates are eligible for t
