DESCRIPTION:The LAA Gloster Strut meeting is held at the Victory Club in Ch
 eltenham on the second Tuesday of each month\, starting at 7:30 pm. This p
 articular meeting features John Beattie\, ex-head of Royal Navy Historic F
 light\, speaking on the subject of Flying the Sea Fury.\nGloster Strut is 
 the Gloucestershire branch of the Light Aircraft Association (LAA)\, welco
 ming all those interested in light aircraft—whether pilots\, aircraft bu
 ilders\, owners or aviation enthusiasts. No aircraft ownership is required
 \; membership is open to anyone with an interest in aviation. The group ru
 ns monthly meetings featuring guest speakers\, along with a regular flying
  programme including tutored jaunts to Le Touquet\, visits to Brize Norton
 \, Benson\, Brooklands and the RAF Museum at Cosford. Members also enjoy s
 ocial events including film nights\, skittle evenings and visits to places
  of interest.\nThe club has over 100 members and prides itself on being a 
 friendly community. Those considering joining are welcomed to attend a mee
 ting to 'try before you buy'. Annual membership costs £10 for full member
 ship\, £5 for second family members\, and is free for under-25s.
