Belfast Branch: Aerostructures in Northern Ireland

Aerostructures in Northern Ireland is a lecture series hosted by the RAeS Belfast Branch on 15 October 2026. The event features representatives from leading aerospace organisations including Airbus, Queen's University Belfast, Short Brothers (a Boeing Company), Thales, and Ulster University.

The programme comprises five lectures covering key topics in aerostructures:

• Airbus Belfast: New Beginnings
• Structural Analysis in Thales Belfast
• Next Generation Aerostructures
• Structural Design Methods for Framework and Propulsion System Integration
• Novel Composites for Enhanced Aerostructures

The event runs from 18:00 to 21:00 BST, with tea, coffee and networking from 18:00, followed by the formal lecture programme commencing at 18:30. This is an in-person event held at AMIC NIACE, 5 Airport Road, Belfast BT3 9EF.

Prior registration is mandatory. Attendees must RSVP to [email protected] with their full name to facilitate security checking by 22:00 on Sunday 11 October. Confirmation of the nominal roll will be sent to registrants on Monday 12 October. Access will be managed via a strict nominal roll basis.
