Join Squadron Leader Dennis Brooks for an engaging lecture on the iconic English Electric Lightning fighter jet. Dennis will share highlights from his extensive career in the Royal Air Force, flying this remarkable aircraft during its operational years.

Today, Dennis and his team are dedicated to preserving several Lightnings in taxiable condition at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, keeping this historic aircraft operational and alive for future generations. The lecture will provide insights into the Lightning's capabilities, Dennis's experiences as a pilot, and the ongoing conservation efforts to maintain these aircraft.

The event features Squadron Leader Dennis Brooks, an ex-EE Lightning pilot with an extensive RAF career, and Richard Norris. Dennis currently operates EE Lightnings in taxiing condition, maintaining the aircraft's operational status for posterity.
