RAeS Flight Simulation Conference 2026

The RAeS Flight Simulation Conference 2026 is an annual gathering held on 13–14 October 2026 at the Royal Aeronautical Society Headquarters in London, with simultaneous online participation available. This prestigious two-day hybrid event convenes over 40 leading experts from the global flight simulation community, including regulators, manufacturers, airlines, military operators, training organisations and researchers.

The conference programme covers in-depth insights and discussions on critical industry topics: FCS Framework implementation perspectives and challenges, aircraft certification by simulation, use of simulation in RAF training of Ukrainian Air Force pilots, transformative technology, training and simulation for uncrewed systems and drones, training improvements, accessible flight simulation in RAFAC, and the IT FLIES 2026 competition.

Highlights include the RAeS Edwin A Link Named Lecture 2026, delivered by Group Captain Gordon A Woolley OBE AFC FRAeS RAF (Ret'd) on 'Simulation and Modelling: An expanding role in a growing aerospace community'.

Whether your involvement spans regulation, flight operations, training, engineering or simulation technology, this conference offers an outstanding opportunity to hear from leading practitioners, discuss the latest developments and network with international colleagues. The event welcomes both RAeS Members and non-members. Hybrid attendance allows delegates to participate in person at the London venue or online. A limited number of free spots are available for RAeS Student and Apprentice Affiliates on a first-come, first-served basis. All attendees must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
