Talk: The past and future of supersonic civil aviation

Join us for a unique evening exploring the past and future of supersonic civil aviation. We are delighted to welcome former Concorde Pilot John Tye and Chief Concorde Pilot Mike Bannister for this special Members' event.

The evening begins with a nostalgic look back at Concorde, the technical marvel that defined an incredible era of supersonic civil aviation. Our speakers will reflect on this remarkable achievement in aviation history.

Looking forward, Mike Bannister will reveal exciting developments in next-generation supersonic aviation. As a director of Boom Aviation, a US-based company currently developing the next generation of supersonic civil airliners, Mike will present the capabilities of aircraft under development and the prospect of passengers once again flying at supersonic speeds.

The event takes place in the Clubhouse and will be broadcast on BM.tv Livestream. The Members' Bar will be open from 6pm, and hot food will be available (please pre-book when purchasing tickets). In-person tickets are available until 9am on the day; livestream tickets until midday. Livestream links are sent after midday on the day of the event.

Free parking is available. For evening events, please use Campbell Gate on Brooklands Road (do not follow brown museum signs). Step-free access to the Napier Room is available via the Clubhouse lift.
