GR3 Harrier action & cameos photo shoot

Join us for an exclusive photography event featuring the only privately owned, fully operational GR3 Harrier in the UK. Delivered by Time Line Events (TLE), this winter shoot takes place in Shropshire in late January 2027, offering unprecedented access to this remarkable piece of aviation history.

The Millington Engineering-owned GR3 Harrier, XV808, will be showcased both inside and outside its dedicated hangar, providing countless photographic opportunities. This aircraft has a distinguished heritage: delivered in 1971 at Dunsfold, it served with RAF squadrons in Germany and became an official RAF Harrier solo display airframe at major public air shows. After its final flight in 1990, it underwent ground training roles before being acquired by Roy and Julian Millington in 2012. Following a meticulous two-year restoration by engineers and ex-RAF personnel, its Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine was successfully fired up in 2014.

The event will feature authentic RAF personnel re-enactors recreating everyday scenes from former RAF bases where Harriers were stationed across the UK and Europe. These professional re-enactments will provide dynamic composition opportunities alongside the aircraft itself. Ample time will be dedicated to capturing the Harrier alone, catering to all photographic preferences.

The session runs from approximately 13:00 to 19:00, allowing full advantage of changing afternoon light and evening twilight. As dusk approaches, special effects and lighting will be deployed inside the hangar, providing dramatic evening photography opportunities.

Spaces are strictly limited. Proceeds from this event support the ongoing maintenance costs of this unique, privately operated aircraft. Tickets are priced at £99 per person.
